The University of Michigan Consumer Sentiment Index rates the relative level of current and future economic conditions. There are two versions of this data released two weeks apart, preliminary and revised. The preliminary data tends to have a greater impact. The reading is compiled from a survey of around 500 consumers.
The University of Michigan Consumer Sentiment Index rose to 90.7, from 88.6 in the previous month. Analysts had expected Michigan Consumer Sentiment Index to rise 89.9 in the last month.
This development is likely to bring sideways market before week end, any losses for US dollar are likely to be limited .
